Dr. Feifei HUANG graduated with the Ph.D. degree from University of Science and Technology Beijing in 2016, majored in material science and engineering. The research interests of Dr. Huang focus on sensors, corrosion behavior of metals, and advanced characterization techniques.

- Project 1“China Postdoctoral Science Foundation”, “Interface behavior of IrOx electrode when immersing in solution and its potential shift phenomenon investigation”, total fund 50000 RMB, 2017-2018

l  Main Contributions

An iridium pH sensor fabricated by cyclic heat treatment and quenching process was proposed, which illustrated wide pH response range, near Nernst E-pH response sensitivity, fast response rate, and good long term stability, etc.

A potential compensation method with a specially designed probe structure was proposed to correct possible errors caused by the potential drift of metal oxide electrode in long term pH monitoring.

- Nafion modification of the pH electrode could effectively exclude the effects caused by reductive anions. Successful application of iridium pH electrode in surface pH detection of zinc/steel galvanic couple in corrosive solutions broadcasts the wide application fields of the electrode.
