       Researches

Dr. Lei WEN graduated with the Ph.D. degree from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2011, majored in material science. The research interests of Dr. Wen focus on the surface modification of light alloy and corrosion evaluation of high strength steel.

l  Main Projects

- Project 1”National Natural Science Foundation of China”, “Fatigue property and deep-sea corrosion behavior of Ti alloy treated by surface nanocrystallization and microarc oxidation”, total fund 250000 RMB, 2013-2015

l  Main Contributions

- Microarc oxidation coatings were fabricated on the surface of TA2 and TC4 alloy, the corrosion resistance of MAO coatings was improved by the introduction of SiC nano-particles.

- The nucleation mechanism of passive films was changed from instantaneous mode to progressive mode due to the grain refinement.

- The combination of surface nanocrystallization and microarc oxidation increased the corrosion, fatigue and tribology properties of Al alloy.
