Special-Regional Environment Test Facility Passed Acceptance

On November 25th , 2020, the Science and Technology Department of the Ministry of Education entrusted USTB to organize the testing and acceptance meeting for special-regional environment test facility.  

The experts from Changsha University of Science and Technology, Research Institute of Highway, Ministry of Transport, the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Tongji University, and Tsinghua University formed an expert group to make evaluation comprehensively and come to an agreement of final approval.

The special-regional environment facility was proposed to meet the urgent needs of service performance and safety assessment of major transportation infrastructure in China. A full scale accelerated test facility was constructed, which can couple the special natural environmental factors of various regions with the complex vehicle load in tests. It provides a sophisticated platform for the basic and applied basic research in road, airport, and railway engineering.

Through over a decade of efforts, the special-regional environment test facility passed the acceptance check. Then it will put into use to serve the companies and institutions which in need.
