NCMS has established cooperative relations with various scientific research institutions and organizations from all over the world. So far, NCMS has signed cooperation memorandums with eight scientific research institutions worldwide, three of which have signed cooperation agreements and become potential customers. In addition, more than 11 projects have been approved by the state for international cooperation development of NCMS.

An international teaching team for graduate students and doctoral students has been established. Every year, many foreign professors and scholars come to NCMS to give lectures and presentations. In 2019, there are 7 courses offered by foreign professors. The center also invited several outstanding scientists to serve as honorary professors, visiting professors or senior consultants.

NCMS also provides opportunities for students to study abroad. NCMS has signed a joint master's program with the University of Michigan, and launched a CSC 2+2 project with KTH Royal Institute of Technology. Until now, there are already two PhD students  have obtained dual degrees in the joint program.
